This huge, ornate picture frame from the 1830s was found in a barn in Northumberland.

In a sad and sorry state, with pieces missing, it still seemed to be begging to be used. After a long and arduous cleaning operation it was painted with Designers Guild Moss and treated with Ghost’s special smooth wax finish.

A large blackboard was inserted and a chrome tube, with an old artist's brush inside, was glued to the frame and painted in matt black - this is to hold chalks ready to write those important messages that no one could possibly miss.
Imagine this in your kitchen - what a statement!
