Nothing is ever as it seems. This beautifully ornate coffee table was found in a Depot Vente on the outskirts of Paris.
Finished in a matte taupe and matte black. We have hand painted a copy of a beautiful shop sign hanger we saw in Paris on the same trip, however the sign is actually a fantastically ornate ormalu which will once have graced a piece of French furniture, found in a flea market in Northern France. We think the marrying of hand painted and the real thing gives a fascinating effect.
All our paints are specially mixed for us in France.
