A concrete tassel decorated with sumptuous trimmings from the mercier and passementier of Paris.
Each tassel is individually cast by hand and every one comes out of the mould differently, making each cast quite individual. The concrete mix is also varied in terms of texture and colour.
This rawness is intriguingly at odds with the delicate, carefully detailed originals and the soft trimmings.
Set inside a fabulous frame purchased from the The Bastille Antiques Fair in Paris, finished in blackened bronze. We have placed this tassel on a black backdrop and added a beautiful vintage green silk cord and wrapped the ball of the tassel and the bottom of the cords in green silk rats tail and added bright green ric rac. Simply luxurious.
